Iowa Exhibited XXXVII
This year’s Iowa Exhibited is the 37th edition of our juried show featuring artists from across Iowa.
Eligibility
To enter in the show, submitting artists must live in Iowa.
Awards
Best of Show - $350
4 Merit Awards - $125 each
3 Honorable Mention Awards - $75 each
Rules
All artists must be 18 years of age or older.
All work must be original and weigh no more than 75 lbs. nor measure over 5 feet in any direction.
All works must be ready for display and wired for hanging.
No wet oils will be accepted.
Fragile/delicate 3-dimensional work, pottery or sculpture that requires more than normal care will be the responsibility of the artist to install and remove.
All accepted work must include an ID label secured to the back upper left hand corner which includes: Artist Name, Address, Title of the Work, Medium, Dimensions, Insurance Value, and Sale Price.

Schedule
Call for entries - July 12 - 26
Judging - July 31 - August 3. The juror will review the artwork and will choose 60-75 pieces of the artwork for the exhibit.
Notification - August 4. Artists will be notified if they have been selected for the Iowa Exhibited XXXIII.
Delivery - August 11 - 12. Selected artists may drop off their artwork.
Exhibit - August 15 - September 30. The exhibit will be open Monday to Friday, 11:00am to 4:30pm.
Reception and Announcement of Winners - August 18. Award winners will be announced at the annual Iowa Exhibited gallery reception.
About the Juror
ABOUT THE JUROR
Aunna Escobedo earned her M.F.A. in printmaking at the University of North Texas. She grew up in Iowa and received her B.F.A. at Mount Mercy University. Upon returning to the area, she’s worked as an art educator and advocate for equitable opportunities within the arts. She is now the program coordinator of the Iowa City Press Co-op, where she works with collective members to develop affordable, accessible resources for the community. Escobedo was appointed to the Mid American Print Council board and serves on their Diversity/Equity/Inclusion, and Exhibition committees.
As a visual artist, she investigates the human experience mirrored within the natural world. Her studio practice embraces printmaking’s methodical qualities while integrating spontaneity and adaptation of unexpected forms. She has exhibited nationally, including in Iowa, Wisconsin, Minnesota, South Dakota, Ohio, California, Texas, and internationally in Italy.
